We were lucky to snag bar seats at Afuri around 9p. Overall we felt like the service was pretty slow and that the bartenders weren't super attentive. The food was pretty good, I really enjoyed the Hokkaido uni and the bluefin maki. Personally I felt like the tofu had a grainy texture which wasn't my favorite and I felt like all the rolls / maki had a little too much rice, but overall the food was good!

I always get the tonkotsu tantanmen and it is extremely rich and flavorful. I do feel like the pork crumbles can get a little lost sometimes. It is pricey, but worth going out for a nice treat. The ambiance is very modern and cool, being in the industrial area of SE Portland. Out of all the ramen spots in Portland, Afuri is definitely a must try spot.

SUCH an amazing dining experience. We stopped in without a reservation and waited around 15 minutes (not bad for a weekend night). The food was absolutely delicious, and the waitress was attentive and sweet! We'll be back for sure

Afuri is a step above and a real standout restaurant in Portland. We love trying EVERYTHING on the menu. The smaller plates mean more variety and it's best to go with friends or family. Get there early as the wait can be quite long at times. Seating and ambiance is pleasing as you get to see activities in the kitchen. Pricing is a bit up there, but it is so worth it. The food is out of this world.
